Americana Beer Co. wins two bronze medals at the 2023 U.S. Open Beer Championship.

  • Big Parade Imperial Stout 2023 US Open Bronze Medal
  • New Slang: Cranberry Herb Saison 2023 US Open Bronze Medal

We are thrilled to announce our recent bronze medal wins at the 2023 U.S. Open Beer Championship. Our first entry into a national competition found us vying for a coveted award along with 3,107 other breweries located in the United States. With over 9,000 entries in this year’s competition, bringing home two bronze medals before we celebrate our first anniversary in business means a lot.

Our 2022 Big Parade Imperial Stout won a bronze medal in the Imperial Stout Specialty category. This big boy is a “Big Parade” of flavors! At a hefty 9.5% ABV, Big Parade is an imperial stout aged on cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon, and enough habanero peppers to give it just a touch of residual heat. It’s a little sweet and spicy and a lot of awesome.

New Slang: Cranberry Herb Saison is our second award-winning beer in this year’s competition. It took home a bronze medal in the Belgian Style Fruit Beer category. Clocking in at a solid 6.6% ABV, this Belgian Saison was aged on 30 lbs of fresh pureed cranberries and a hint of rosemary. It’s a deliciously fruity beer that packs a punch.

We’re honored and proud to be recognized among some of the best breweries in the nation. We’re just starting this journey and look forward to seeing where the future leads from here. Many thanks to this year’s competition judges, and hearty congratulations to our fellow winners! Especially those winners from the greater Charlotte, NC area.
