Americana Beer Co. is celebrating a huge milestone: our New Slang Belgian Saison just took home a Gold Medal at the 2026 U.S. Open Beer Championship, one of the largest beer competitions in the country, with entries from all 50 states.

A Three-Year Medal Journey
New Slang’s path to Gold has been years in the making. This farmhouse ale has climbed the podium at the U.S. Open three years running:

Competing against beers from big-name breweries across the country, New Slang came out on top in a genuinely national field, not a small regional showdown.

Five State & National Medals and Counting
Gold isn’t the only hardware this beer series has earned. The fruited versions of New Slang have also picked up recognition at the NC Brewers Cup:

  • Silver Medal, NC Brewers Cup (fruited variant)
  • Gold Medal, NC Brewers Cup (fruited variant)

Combined with the U.S. Open wins, that brings the total to five state and national medals for our New Slang Saison series.
